The Falls Church JOBS! Ministry provides spiritual and practical support to those in job or career transition. We also assist other churches in the establishment of similar programs.

The JOBS! Ministry began formal classes in May 1992. The concept arose from a realization that there were those in the church who were out of work but unable to tell anyone about their plight, let alone seek help. Some were ' dire financial distress. Others were emotionally and spiritually exhausted.  The program was established to minister to their needs. It soon became clear that others who were currently employed but were seeking changes in their jobs or careers also needed assistance. Since its inception, hundreds of people have joined with the JOBS! Ministry and become part of our family.

The ministry is open to all, regardless of church affiliation, who wish a spiritually supportive job search environment which includes both spiritual and technical support and training during times of job transition. Three formal, eight week classes are held each year. Formal sessions include prayer, comments or talks by professionals or others who have gone through the process of job change, formal presentations and practice in areas such as resume writing and interviews, and structured support group discussions. Informal support groups meet during most of the weeks between the formal classes.
