Schedule and Curriculum

The JOBS! Ministry course is eight week long.  There are three courses each year. The program and structure of each course is similar throughout the year; however, the content may vary somewhat. "Intercession" is what we call the meetings which bridges the gap between formal courses. These informal, support groups continue to meet weekly in the time between regular courses, so there is no time when there is not a support group running.

May God bless and sustain you during this time of change. May He draw you to Him and use this challenge to strengthen your bonds with Him.

All Course Sessions commence and end in prayer. Presentations cover both the spiritual and practical aspects of transition and include:

God's Plan	Interviews	Financial Crisis
Action Plan	Resumes	Keeping Hope Alive
Appearance	Stress Management	Dealing with Emotions
Personal Gifts	Time Management	Dealing with Headhunters

Interviews include a presentation and practice interviews. Individual resumes are critiqued on a one on one basis.

The second half of each session (except for interview night) is devoted to small group discussion. The agenda for these Small Group Discussions follows:

• Prayer
• Introductions
• Discussion of where people are, why they are here and what their expectations are and what they need from the group
• Prayer partners (assignment and discussion)
• Seeking permission to pray for you
• Discussion of action plans
• Reminder of the jobs list/folder/box
• Discussion of Bible study info
• Close with prayer 9:25 pm and return to large group

The schedule is a guide. You and your group leaders may choose to vary from its provisions, but it is important to maintain the sense of accountability and spirituality.

This program is your program. As with most significant endeavors, what you put into the sessions and the weeks between, will determine what you get out of the program. It is important to us, however, that we provide the best that we can. Is what we're doing helping? Tell us, please. Are we missing the mark? Can we improve? Please tell us that too.

One of your handouts each week will be a revised roster of staff and participants. Whether for networking support or seeking information, use the roster to contact the appropriate people.
